The Lancaster Hotels web platform — the chain hub at lancaster.world and the individual hotel websites — was designed and built by two independent developers.

What was built

One codebase, deployed as independent websites — each hotel runs its own database, its own content, its own admin users and its own domain. A property can change its rooms, photography, restaurants, offers and contact details without a developer, and without affecting any other property in the group.

How it works

• React and Vite single-page front end, one shared template across all properties.
• Node/Express API with a separate PostgreSQL database per hotel.
• A content management panel per site: rooms, dining, events, offers, wellbeing, gallery, navigation, footer, contact details, translations and structured data.
• Direct-booking integration, so each property's "Reserve" goes to its own booking engine.
• An AI concierge answering guest questions from that hotel's own content only.
• Google Cloud Storage for media, Caddy for TLS and routing, GitHub Actions for deployment.
• Machine-readable llms.txt and structured data on every site, so search engines and AI answer engines can read the properties accurately.
